A Hong Kong-based LEGO fan is redefining art! In honor of Vincent van Gogh’s famous 1889 painting, the LEGO Group has introduced a new LEGO Ideas set geared toward history and art enthusiasts: the Starry Night set.

The LEGO Ideas Starry Night set is 12-by-15 inches, made up of 2,316 pieces, and features both the full-scale painting itself and a LEGO minifigure of van Gogh drawing a tiny version of his painting, complete with an attachable paint brush, a palette, an easel, and a printed tile for the painting.

The three-dimensional set reimagines one of van Gogh’s most recognized paintings and places a heavy emphasis on the artist’s striking brush strokes and unique color choices. Art lovers can swap the color palettes of LEGO bricks to customize and create their own take on the iconic painting.

LEGO Ideas is the official LEGO Group platform that turns ideas created by and voted for by fans into LEGO-licensed realities. The Starry Night set was designed by 25-year-old Truman Cheng through a submission on the platform. The finished product was created in conjunction with the Museum of Modern Art in New York.

In an effort to inspire creativity, the Lego Group has also launched a competition in which fans can submit their own mini LEGO builds inspired by the night sky. Winning designs will be displayed in the lobby of the Museum of Modern Art this summer. Click here for more information.

The LEGO Ideas Starry Night set will be available exclusively on lego.com starting on June 1 for $169.99.
